Texas Animal Health Commission requires a general health certificate for entry into Texas. This is easily obtained from your vet. Only routine observations are required.
This measure is in the best interest of all and it’s highly unlikely a livestock inspector will stop you as you’re driving, but if the inspection stations are open as you enter Texas, it’s best not to bypass them, rather, pull in, have this piece of paper handy in your truck, and show it to the attendant when asked what you’re hauling.
Note: these stations are not always open, in which case simply drive past.
General health certificates are usually
good for 30 days.
Clinic staff will need to see this certificate before unloading camels.
Camels will be assessed and taught appropriate skills
with their owners each day.
Includes stabling Thursday - Sunday
and two bags of shavings per stall.
$400 per camel
